When executed effectively, skill development or enhancement can alleviate both unemployment and underemployment, improve productivity levels, and elevate living standards. Investing in initiatives directed at skilling or upskilling individuals for livelihood is a sound economic strategy.

Navneet Foundation supports skill development centres in Gujarat and Maharashtra. Through this initiative our effort is to bridge the gap between ability, aspiration and skills, knowledge, and employment demands and opportunities. The vocational courses are aimed to equip students with necessary technical hands-on knowledge and employable skills, presents an opportunity to enhance their income-generation skills for sustainable livelihoods.

The vocational training programme includes tailoring and beautician courses, general duty cum home- based care assistant course. Additionally, the Foundation has established four computer training centres in Vasai-Virar taluka for underprivileged youth, following the curriculum set and certified by Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Ltd.
