GetMyScreenTime is a parental control mobile app by AI Tech Minds that helps parents manage screen time while encouraging children to learn through AI-powered quizzes.

How It Works:

• Children answer quiz questions (Math, Science, Logic, General Knowledge) to earn screen time minutes
• Parents monitor and restrict access to social media apps (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc.)
• App blocks restricted apps when no earned screen time is available, redirecting kids to take quizzes

Key Capabilities:

• AI-generated age-appropriate quizzes (ages 5-18)
• Real-time app monitoring via Android Accessibility Service
• Parent dashboard to manage multiple children

Age of Digital Consent by Region

The legal age requirements for using Services vary by jurisdiction:

• United States (COPPA): For children under 13, we require verifiable parental consent. Users 13 and older can create accounts (with parental permission if younger than the age of majority in their state).
• European Union (GDPR): For users under 16, we require parental consent. Member states may lower this to 13. We recognize and comply with each member state's specific age requirements.
• Canada: For users under 13, we require parental consent under PIPEDA.
• Other Regions: We comply with the age of digital consent requirements established by local law in each jurisdiction.

Collection of Children's Information

GetMyScreenTime is specifically designed to help parents manage their children's screen time and educational engagement. Our app may collect personal information from children, including:

• Child's name
• Child's age
• Child's email address
• Device usage and quiz performance data

Parental Consent Requirement

We require verifiable parental consent before collecting any personal information from children. When a parent or legal guardian creates an account and adds a child profile, they explicitly consent to:

• Our sharing of child data with AI Service Providers (OpenAI) solely for generating age-appropriate quiz content

Withdrawing Parental Consent

Parents or legal guardians can withdraw their consent and request deletion of their child's data at any time by contacting us at admin@aitechminds.com. Upon withdrawal of consent or account deletion request, we will immediately cease collection and processing of that child's personal information and permanently delete all data from our database within 24 hours, unless we are required to retain it by law.

Accessibility Service and App Monitoring

GetMyScreenTime uses Android Accessibility Service to monitor app usage on the device. This service allows us to:

• Identify which apps the child is using
• Monitor screen time for restricted applications
• Enforce screen time limits and app blocking
• Provide accurate usage statistics to parents

Important Note: The Accessibility Service is a core feature that enables the app to function as intended. This service collects information about app usage but does not capture passwords, personal messages, or sensitive content from apps.

International Data Transfers

Your personal information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from your home country. When we transfer data internationally, we implement appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and other mechanisms to ensure your data is protected to a standard comparable to your home country's requirements, particularly for GDPR compliance.

By using the Services, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries outside your country of residence, which may include countries that do not have the same data protection laws as your home country.

5. DO WE OFFER ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE-BASED PRODUCTS?

In Short: We offer products, features, or tools powered by artificial intelligence, machine learning, or similar technologies.

As part of our Services, we offer products, features, or tools powered by artificial intelligence, machine learning, or similar technologies (collectively, "AI Products"). These tools are designed to enhance your experience and provide you with innovative solutions. The terms in this Privacy Notice govern your use of the AI Products within our Services.

Use of AI Technologies

We provide the AI Products through third-party service providers ("AI Service Providers"), including OpenAI's API. When generating age-appropriate quiz questions, we pass the child's age as a parameter in our API request to OpenAI. As outlined in this Privacy Notice, your input, output, and personal information will be shared with and processed by these AI Service Providers to enable your use of our AI Products. You must not use the AI Products in any way that violates the terms or policies of any AI Service Provider.

Important: The child's age is sent to OpenAI only to generate age-appropriate content. OpenAI does not retain personal identifiable information (names, emails, or other child identifiers) from these requests.

All personal information processed using our AI Products is handled in line with our Privacy Notice and our agreement with third parties. This ensures high security and safeguards your personal information throughout the process, giving you peace of mind about your data's safety.

6. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?

In Short: We keep your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice unless otherwise required by law. Data is immediately deleted from our database when an account is deleted.

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting, or other legal requirements). No purpose in this notice will require us keeping your personal information for longer than the period of time in which users have an account with us.

Upon Account Deletion: When a parent or child requests account deletion, all associated data is immediately and permanently deleted from our primary database, including usernames, email addresses, passwords, child age information, quiz history, and device usage logs. This deletion is instantaneous and comprehensive.

In the event of technical or legal necessity (such as ongoing fraud investigations or court orders), we may retain limited information in isolated, secure archives. Such archived data will be permanently deleted within 90 days unless legally required to be retained longer.

7. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?

In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures.

We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not be able to defeat our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk. 8A. FIREBASE ANALYTICS AND DATA COLLECTION

In Short: We use Google Firebase Analytics to track app usage, user engagement, and user flows. This data is anonymized and helps us improve the app experience

What Data Does Firebase Analytics Collect?

Firebase Analytics automatically collects the following data from your device:

• Device Information: Device model, OS version, app version, unique device identifiers
• User Engagement Events:
  • Registration events (registration_started, otp_requested, otp_verified, registration_success, registration_failed)
  • Login events (login_started, login_success, login_failed)
  • Permission events (permissions_disclosure_started, notification/overlay/accessibility_permission_enabled, permissions_setup_complete, accessibility_skipped)
  • Dashboard access events (dashboard_accessed)
  • Feature usage (app_blocking_set, blocked_app_opened, blocking_overlay_shown)
  • Quiz completion (quiz_completed)
  • Error events (app_exception, api_error)
• Session Data: Session duration, first open time, app updates
• Crash Data: App crashes and errors (via Firebase Crashlytics)

How Is This Data Used?

Firebase Analytics data is used for the following purposes:

• Performance Monitoring: Identifying crashes, errors, and stability issues

9. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

In Short: We do not use cookies or similar tracking technologies in GetMyScreenTime.

GetMyScreenTime does not use cookies, web beacons, pixels, or other tracking technologies. Our Services operate without storing any persistent tracking data on your device. All session information required for authentication and app functionality is handled through secure, non-persistent methods.

10. DATA BREACH NOTIFICATION

In Short: We will notify you of any personal data breach in accordance with applicable laws.

Notification Procedures

In the event of a confirmed personal data breach affecting your personal information, we will:

International Data Transfers

Some of our sub-processors are located in the United States. These transfers are protected by:

12. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage, no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Notice.
