Early Childhood Education
Early Childhood Education
The first 3 -6 years of a child’s life are uniquely important as this is the most critical period for brain development. This period is foundational for a child’s future learning journey, as early childhood education plays a key role in shaping their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth. Studies consistently highlight that high-quality preschool education not only enhances academic performance but also fosters better social skills and greater success later in life. By creating a stimulating and nurturing environment, preschool education helps children develop into curious, confident, and capable learners.
Navneet Foundation has collaborated with the Department of women & Child Development (DWCD), for its Early Childhood Education (ECE) project aimed at transforming Anganwadis (Courtyard Centres) into vibrant centres for ECE in villages of Vasai-Virar Taluka, Silvassa and Ahmedabad, reaching approximately 80 Anganwadis and 1200 children.
As the knowledge partner Navneet Foundation has developed contextualised material as per the requirement of the programme. Our efforts in early education are made to encourage, contextual and age appropriate education through strengthening skills and mentoring of Anaganwadi workforce.
Capacity Building of Anganwadi Workers and Helpers on topics ranging from developmental milestones, class planning, providing a conducive learning environment, constructive supervision to relevant teaching learning material; is managed by conducting monthly workshops and onsite support visits.
