Digital Learning
Digital Learning
India, home to 43 crore children aged 0-18, is working to improve educational quality while addressing challenges like a shortage of skilled teachers, inadequate infrastructure, and limited resources. Leveraging technology is one of the effective strategies to make high-quality education more accessible, and reduce the disparities. Digital Learning has the potential to enhance the quality of education, empower students with valuable skills, and bridge educational gaps.
However, lack of access to technology, especially in rural areas, remains a significant challenge. To address this, the Navneet Foundation launched the Digital Education Initiative in 2013. This programme, implemented in collaboration with like-minded corporates, primarily focusses on government-run schools in Maharashtra and Gujarat.
Through this programme, the Foundation aims to enrich students’ learning experiences and expose them to a broader range of digital resources, comprising interactive content such as animations, quizzes, games, and multimedia presentations. Furthermore, the programme offers professional development resources to support teachers enhance their instructional skills and stay updated with educational trends.
The platform also generates data and helps the teacher to identify learning gaps and adapt teaching strategies accordingly, ensuring equitable access to quality education and preparing students for a technology-driven future. The strategic activities of this initiative encompass every step from identifying schools and securing the necessary government approvals to evaluating the project’s outcomes.
